What is a learner stipend and why is it paid to learners?

A learner stipend are monthly payments paid to learners undergoing certain training programmes for the duration of that training programme. The stipend is only paid to learners that are registered and contracted to the Services SETA funded programme.

How do I address discrepancies between the Learner Management System Report (LMIS) and the learner registration template?

All learners should address their queries to either the training provider and or employer via the email provided by them.

What happens when there are late or noncompliant submissions of attendance registers?

Late submission will affect the verification cut-off dates. Non-compliant registers are sent back to the employer for remediation and resubmission.

 

This will delay the payment in learner stipend, should remediated information be received before the last day of the month, payment shall be effected on the 15th day of the ensuing month.

Services SETA (LMIS) Team will work with you through a manual process to verify learners with the entity using the template document.
